Old Process

The future of government shouldn't involve a fax machine.

The new hire arranges to be on site to receive the 15 page packet; reviews and completes the packet potentially leaving required information blank (extends the processing time); and returns packet = approximately 30 minutes to complete the packet plus travel and possibly error correction time. Packet must then go through the supervisor and Department Head for approval, then come to Human Resources which could take up to an additional 24 hours.

Money Spent: $25/hr for city employee (1/2 hr of collecting, verifying and processing) plus $1.50/packet x 150 each year = $2,100/year

New Process

In minutes we were able to convert the existing process into a smart online experience.

The new hire receives an email with instructions and link to the packet, completes SeamlessDoc (with autofill for duplicated information) and uploads required documents. The form is sent electronically to all signers and then collected electronically by Human Resources.
